The Top 10 Most Popular Dog Breeds

Why We Took A Survey

We get pure breeds as well as mixed breeds daily.

We wanted to know how popular a pure breed was even when mixed breeds were counted as well.

Note: The majority of the dogs were mixed breeds.

Dogs that visted us repeatedly were counted only once.

1. The Labrador Retriever

97 per thousand dogs (or 9.7%) were Labs. The Lab was the most popular pure bred dog by far.

Their are three types of labs.

The yellow and chocolate labs were tied at 34 per thousand dogs each. The black lab was a close third at 29.
